With experience in early intervention and pediatric outpatient clinics, Alie is all about creating personalized, playful, and meaningful care plans that help little ones thrive — not just in therapy, but at home, school, and everywhere in between. Alie loves making therapy fun and engaging by tailoring sessions to each child’s favorite things — whether that’s a holiday-themed activity, a Paw Patrol scavenger hunt, or a superhero yoga adventure. She believes that when therapy feels like play, kids make amazing progress. Over the years, Alie has worked with hundreds of families — always with a focus on education, advocacy, and celebrating every small (and big!) win. She’s especially passionate about helping families feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way. In her outpatient work, she’s created everything from caregiver support groups to social-emotional and mindfulness groups — all designed to nurture connection, confidence, and joy. Her therapy toolkit includes extensive knowledge on sensory integration, trauma and anxiety-informed care, Floortime techniques, pediatric yoga, mindfulness, feeding support, and sleep training and consultation. Alie also loves collaborating with other professionals — always learning, growing, and finding new ways to support her clients in the best way possible. Outside of Creating Connections she enjoys cooking, going for walks with her dog, kayaking, Netflix marathons and traveling to St. Petersburg, FL with her family and friends!

Melanie is a passionate and dedicated occupational therapist who finds joy in helping children build confidence, independence, and a sense of play through meaningful, child-led experiences. She was drawn to the field of occupational therapy by her deep-rooted desire to support others—especially young children—in reaching their fullest potential.

Her love for pediatrics began early on while working as a pediatric rehabilitation aide and mentoring in her dance studio’s adaptive dance program. These formative roles sparked her interest in inclusive, creative approaches to care—an interest that grew even stronger during her studies at Quinnipiac University. One of the most defining moments in her journey was volunteering at Camp No Limits, a camp for children with limb differences and their families, where she witnessed the power of adaptive play, community, and self-empowerment firsthand.

In therapy sessions, Melanie brings energy, empathy, and a collaborative spirit. She believes that strong relationships with families are essential to meaningful progress and is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive space where kids feel safe, celebrated, and motivated to reach their goals. Families value her thoughtful communication and how she thoughtfully tailors sessions to each child’s unique strengths, challenges, and interests.

Outside of Creating Connections, you’ll find Melanie cooking family recipes, experimenting with new iced latte combinations, walking by the water, or teaching dance classes at the same studio she grew up in. She’s thrilled to continue building connections and supporting each child’s journey with patience, purpose, and positivity.
